Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Dr. Prerna Kohli?

Dr. Prerna Kohli is a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience, based in Gurugram. She holds a PhD from Aligarh Muslim University, is a four-time gold medalist, and received the "100 Women Achievers of India" award from the President of India. She is a TEDx speaker, published author, and founder of MindTribe Healthcare, working with individuals, couples, and families both in-clinic and online worldwide.

What does Dr. Kohli help with?

She works with individuals, couples, and families on marriage and relationship difficulties, communication breakdowns, trust and infidelity, anxiety, depression, stress, parenting and family conflict, self-esteem, and life transitions. Marriage counselling, family therapy, and support for NRI clients are among her core specialities.

How much do counselling sessions cost?

Sessions are priced by duration: ₹6,000 for 30 minutes, ₹10,000 for 60 minutes, and ₹15,000 for 75 minutes. The 75-minute session is open to everyone, and is especially suited to couple and family counselling, where more than one person attends and each needs individual time within the session. The same rates apply to both in-clinic and online consultations.

Does Dr. Kohli offer online sessions, including for NRIs?

Yes. Dr. Kohli consults online with clients across India and internationally, and works regularly with NRIs and the Indian diaspora in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and the Middle East. Online sessions are held by secure video or audio call, in English or Hindi.

Where is the clinic located?

The clinic is on Nathupur Road, DLF City-3, Gurugram, Haryana. Standard in-clinic hours are Monday to Saturday, 2:30 PM to 8:00 PM; morning slots can be arranged on request, so do ask if mornings suit you better. Online consultations are available worldwide.

Is what I share confidential?

Yes. Sessions are private and what you share stays between you and Dr. Kohli. As in all professional psychological practice, confidentiality has narrow legal and ethical limits — for instance, where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person — and these are explained at the outset so you always know where you stand.

Does Dr. Kohli prescribe medication?

As a clinical psychologist, Dr. Kohli works through evidence-informed talk therapy rather than medication, and most concerns are addressed this way. When medication may be helpful, her practice includes a psychiatrist who can assess and prescribe, so your care stays coordinated within one team.

How do I book a session?

You can book through the website or contact the clinic directly on +91 98118 62338 (also on WhatsApp). New clients are currently being accepted for both in-clinic and online sessions.
